Residents Glean Tons of Produce
The farm opened up its fields to the public for gleaning on October 4th. TJ and Laurie hosted 186 guests who harvested 6,748 pounds of healthy broccoli, squash, and cabbage for their personal enjoyment. Chaffee County residents were invited to glean the CFTT fields, collecting 6,748 pounds of fresh produce. Meet TJ McDaniel, CFTT Farm Manager & Director
by MP Mueller, CFTT Board Member TJ McDaniel runs and manages the farm for Colorado Farm to Table. Originally from Mulvane, Kansas, TJ grew up on a small farm raising livestock and later worked in orchards and vegetable farms, where he developed a love for produce. After earning a degree in English from the University of Kansas, he continued farming near Lawrence. In 2014, TJ saw an ad in a Midwest farming publication looking for a farmer at Colorado Farm to Table. While his

It's Harvest Time Again!
It's that time of year - harvest time on the CFTT farm. We can't deliver fresh, nutritious cabbage, broccoli and other produce without the help of our amazing volunteers. From now through October we need people just like you to help bring in the harvest. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! If you can donate 3 hours from 8:00-110:00 a.m on selected dates - WE NEED YOU!
