Residents Glean Tons of Produce

The farm opened up its fields to the public for gleaning on October 4th. TJ and Laurie hosted 186 guests who harvested 6,748 pounds of healthy broccoli, squash, and cabbage for their personal enjoyment.

Chaffee County residents were invited to glean the CFTT fields, collecting 6,748 pounds of fresh produce.

This day is an annual tradition when the farm hosts the community after distributing free, fresh produce to food banks in Chaffee County and throughout the state. While the gleaning day was free of charge, our generous guests donated $540 which will help with farm operations next year.
