Colorado Farm to Table Featured at the First-Ever Community Action Fair
Colorado Farm to Table had the honor of participating in the inaugural Community Action Fair, held March 28 at the Salida Rotary Scout Hut. This powerful event brought together over 20 local organizations and nearly 200 attendees—all committed to building a stronger, more connected community.

Organized by a grassroots network of friends and supported by Central Colorado Showing Up for Racial Justice, the fair was designed to highlight how national issues can be addressed through local action. Each organization shared a unique call to action, encouraging attendees to get involved in meaningful ways.
Representing CFTT, Laurie Kari and Allison Groom connected with community members about food insecurity and the critical services CFTT provides. “So many people want to be involved in the community. People need action because they’re anxious,” Kari noted. Groom emphasized the importance of raising awareness, especially as government food bank funding is currently being withheld.
We’re proud to stand alongside so many changemakers and are grateful for the opportunity to represent Colorado Farm to Table’s mission—to grow and distribute fresh produce to those in need, free of charge. Events like this show the power of community coming together for a greater purpose.
