Featured: Colorado Farm to Table seeks volunteers to plant cabbage and broccoli crop

Colorado Farm to Table was recently featured in the Chaffee County Times about their current need for volunteers:

Colorado Farm to Table, a nonprofit farm that donates all its produce to a network of food banks in the Chaffee County area and beyond, is seeking volunteers to help transplant thousands of cabbage and broccoli shoots from the greenhouse to the fields of the 15-acre farm.

From June 3 through June 7, the farm needs volunteers to plant 7,000 cabbage and 16,000 broccoli shoots that have been growing in the greenhouse since April.

“We prefer people to sign up online, but if someone shows up at 8:00 AM on June 3, I’m not going to turn them away,” said farm director T.J. McDaniel.
