Farewell to Laurie Kari
Colorado Farm to Table bids Laurie Kari farewell as she retires from her role of Executive Director on June 2 to focus on her family. Laurie joined CFTT in January 2023.
During her tenure, Laurie made a huge impact on our mission of sustainably growing nutritious vegetables for donation to those in need of healthy food throughout Colorado. Serving alongside Thomas McDaniel, Farm Director and Manager, Laurie coordinated the volunteer schedule to ensure that TJ had enough greenhouse and field volunteers for a successful harvest. She was instrumental in securing funding for the farm’s operations and programming through grants, donations, corporate sponsors, and community events.
Before joining CFTT, Laurie was founder and executive director for Family Promise Mat-Su family homeless shelter in Alaska. A native of Wisconsin, she earned a BS in Science from the University of Minnesota and took master-level classes at the University of Alaska.
All of us at CFTT — TJ, the Board of Directors, and volunteers — will miss Laurie.
