The Farm to Table produce growing operation began nine years ago. My wife and I went back to raising produce for the sole purpose of providing fresh produce to soup kitchens and food pantries in the upper Arkansas Valley at no charge to these facilities In 2005 we were asked to expand this ministry in order to supply produce to facilities outside of our area. Some of the communities that were reached were: Salida, Buena Vista, Denver, Alamosa, Leadville, Westcliffe, and Montrose. The following photos show the first year of this expansion on a new and larger piece of farm land. We have more land and water available at the new location. This will allow us to expand the amount of produce raised for many years to come. The need for fresh produce to be supplied to soup kitchens, food pantries, and food warehouses is ever growing.
