Hi, I'm Tony Madone and here's my brief story. I grew
up in Canon City, Colorado and began working in produce at a very early age. During
my junior high years I realized that I had a passion and God given talent for raising
produce. Within a year after high school graduation I owned and operated a large
produce farming operation as well as a custom farming business which I continued
to expand for the next six years before moving to Idaho.
While living in Idaho my wife and I continued our successful
farming operation for the next fifteen years. We returned to Colorado, settling
in Salida. where I opened a successful automotive machine shop which has been in
operation for the past fourteen years. While operating my machine shop my love for
growing produce never diminished and I continued to grow produce. Nine years ago
my passion led me to giving all that I harvested to soup kitchens and food pantries,
and ultimately to the establishment of Colorado Farm To Table.
I am confident that with the blessing of our Lord and
the help of others, Colorado Farm To Table, Inc. will make a substantial difference
for the multitude of people who need but can't afford fresh vegetables.
